WASHINGTON: Climb CDC in Gulfport hosted their annual Ports of Call Food and Cultural Festival this evening. News 25’s Hank Davis was there and brings us the story.
Climb CDC’s Ports of Call Cultural Food Festival is their largest annual fundraiser, bringing cuisines from around the globe all under one roof. Climb CDC CEO Stephanie Mathes said, “This is our fourth year doing it and every year it gets bigger and better. We have such amazing community support. Over 30 restaurants have provided food at no cost to us and as part of the $30 ticket guest can come in and get tastings from all different areas. We have the port of soul, the port of seafood, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, collard greens. We have hummus, wings, all varieties of food. If you’re hungry you can find something there to eat.” Community members flock into Climb CDC’s event center to try out some of the best dishes from across the Coast and around the world.
