WARSAW: Poland’s average corporate gross wage measured PLN 4,123.26 in April, up by 3.7% year on year on a 2.2% month on month decrease, the Central Statistics Office (GUS) said.
Economists surveyed by PAP Polish news agency expected a 4.0% corporate wage growth year on year on a monthly decrease of 1.8%. Poland’s corporate employment measured 5.57 million persons in April, as it rose by 1.1% y/y and was flat m/m vs. 1.1% annual growth and no monthly change expected.
The tie up of jobs and wages pushed the nominal corporate wage bill up by 4.8% year on year on a 2.2% monthly decrease, calculations against the data showed.
