WARSAW: Polish government supports the development of the international waterway E-40, which passes through Ukraine and Belarus, and plans to hold workshops to discuss the next steps of the project implementation.
The issue of shipping resumption on the international waterway E-40 is one of the priorities of the National Transport Strategy of Ukraine until 2030, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The possibility of resuming international shipments by water was discussed during the ninth meeting of Ukrainian-Belarusian working group on transport, held in Brest in March 2017. Then the parties agreed to apply to the European Commission for inclusion of E-40 river route into Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
