PESHAWAR: Collectorate of Customs Preventive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa seized a car and 1200 mobile phones in a successful search operation.
Inspector Ilyas Iqbal of Customs Preventive informed Customs Today that 1200 non customs paid smartphones at Nowshera were seized during search of a suspected car. The phones were being smuggled in a car ABW-745 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab. The driver of vehicle identified as Nader Ali was arrested while phones and car transferred to Customs House Peshawar.
The Customs Preventive team has been actively performing to thwart any possible attempt of smuggling. These Samsung and other brands phones were smuggled either from Afghanistan or China. These phones would be seized and auctioned if not proved legally imported.
