PESHAWAR: Modal Customs Collectorate made a total of Rs2162 million revenue collections in November 2017 against Rs1647 million of the previous November 2016 with total difference of Rs466.03 million while the difference in percentage was minus 28.44 percent.
Data revealed that Peshawar Customs House in month of November collected Rs969 million only in collected in head of customs duty against Rs541.55 million of November 2016. The total difference in this sector was recorded Rs328 million while the difference in percentage was 56.33 percent.
In head of sales tax on imports the house collected Rs473.52 million as compared to Rs413 million collected in November 2016 having difference of 24.16 million rupees while the difference in percentage was 5.85 percent.
Likewise in head of sales tax levied as federal excise duty (FED) on palm oil, the house collected Rs188.40 million in November 2017 against Rs164.22 million of November 2016. The difference in percentage was 14.78percent while the difference in rupees was noticed 24.26 million rupees.
In head of sale tax value addition on commercial importer Rs55.27 million were collected against the previous figure of Rs60.80 million which showed a difference of minus 9,10 percent and minus Rs05.53 million.
In term of federal excise duty on imports the house collected Rs5.94 million in November 2017 against the previous year Rs15.94 having same figure showing not deferent in percentage and rupees.
In head of withholding tax the house collected 496.87 million against the previous year of this month’s which was Rs401.81 million with total difference of Rs95.6 million while the difference in percentage was 23.66 percent.
The overall performance of the house was satisfactory as numbers of steps have been taken for increasing revenue generation on border and averting smuggling bids.
