PESHAWAR: Customs Collectorate Peshawar missed the target of Rs 1,921.22 million in September as it collected only Rs 1,595.53 million, showing a shortfall of Rs 310.48 million.
Sources told Customs Today that Customs Collectorate Peshawar collected Rs 647.13 million under the head of customs duty against Rs 716.92 million of September 2015, showing difference of 9.73 percent while the difference in value is Rs 57.58 million.
Under the head of sale tax, the Customs Peshawar collected Rs 304.68 against Rs 440.14 million target, showing a difference of Rs 135.46 million while with total percentage of minus 30.78 percent against September 2015.
In head of sale tax levies as federal excise duty (FED), the house collected Rs108.13 million against Rs227.08 million of September 2015 showing shortfall of minus Rs118.95 million with minus 52.38 percent.
In head of sale tax value addition on commercial importer the collectorate collected Rs46.40 million against the previous collection of Rs84.76 million showing shortfall of Rs45.26 million in rupees and minus 38.36 million in percentage.
In head of federal excise duty (FED) on imports the house collected Rs12.09 million against September 2015 of Rs21.86 million showing shortfall of minus Rs9.8 million and minus 44.82 percent.
In term of withholding tax the Collectorate collected Rs 396.39 million against Rs477.10 million of September 2015 with total difference of minus Rs46.69 million with total percentage minus 10.85 percent.
In grand figure the Customs Collectorate Peshawar collected Rs1595.53 million in September against Rs1921.21 million of September 2015 showing shortfall of minus Rs325.69 million in rupees and minus 16.95 percent in percentage.
