LAHORE: The Pakistan Customs clearance process of consignments is expeditious than India at Wagha Border.
Talking to Customs Today, a customs official said that the Pakistan Customs installed two scanners at Wagha Border to enhance the speed of clearance process of consignments. He added that in our neighboring country, there were no scanners to check the consignments. He said that consignments were checked manually in India that took time.
He said that the trade of fresh vegetables was mostly made between two countries Pakistan and India through Wagha border. The delay in clearance process could damage the consignments and caused loss to traders, he said.
On the other hand, Customs Additional Collector Beelam Ramzan has restricted the entrance of agents at the place where consignments clearance process was done at the Wagha border. She has instructed all inspectors at border to obey the orders. She further said that violation of the instructions was not acceptable at all.
