KARACHI: The Pak Rupee made significant gain against US dollar in early trade on Thursday owing to sufficient supply of foreign current in the market.
The local current gained 19 paisas in the early trade as US dollar is being traded at Rs138.70 in foreign currency market. The exchange rate was ended at Rs138.89 to the dollar in interbank foreign exchange market.
Currency experts said that the foreign inflows under export receipts and remittances helped easing pressure on the local currency.
But they said that the scheduled repayment of foreign debt would increase demand for dollars in coming days.
