KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee on Tuesday closed strengthened against the dollar both in open market and interbank.
As per local money market, the dollar lost 30 paisas in open market for buying at Rs133.90 and for selling at Rs134.60. In interbank, the greenback closed after shedding 15 paisas for buying at Rs133.60 and for selling at Rs133.80
On Monday, the rupee continued to trade weaker against the US dollar due to growing dollar demand from importers. In the interbank market, the rupee closed at 133.95 per dollar compared to the previous close of 133.85. The rupee also extended losses in the open trade. It traded at 134.30 against dollar compared with 133.20 in previous session.
