KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee Friday strengthened against the dollar in interbank, but weakened in interbank.
As per the local money market, the dollar lost 10 paisas in interbank for buying at 104.40 and for selling at 104.70. In open market, the American currency gained five paisas for buying at 105.55 and for selling at 105.80. On Thursday, the greenback closed flat in value versus rupee on insignificant demand from corporate sector in interbank market. The dollar remained at Rs 104.50 for buying and Rs 104.70 for selling with no change against the rupee in interbank. In open market, the dollar remained up in value in the open market following flat demand from corporate and private sector in interbank. The dollar closed at Rs 105.50 for buying and Rs 105.75 for selling in the open market against rupee. It gained 20 paisas.
