KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee Friday strengthened against the American currency in open market and remained unchanged in interbank.
As per the local currency market, the dollar lost five paisas in open market for buying at 105.80 and for selling at 106.10, while it remained firm in interbank for buying at 104.30 and for selling at 104.50. On Thursday, the US currency closed flat against rupee in interbank market on back of insignificant demand from importers. The dollar stood unchanged at Rs 104.30 for buying and Rs 104.50 for selling in interbank. In open market, the rupee closed up by 10 paisas at Rs 105.85 for buying and Rs 106.15 for selling.
