KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee on Tuesday further depreciated against the US dollar and touched the level of Rs130 in open market.
As per the local money market, the dollar added Rs2.30 for buying at Rs128.50 and for selling at Rs130.50. In interbank, the greenback gained 25 paisas for buying at Rs128.50 and for selling at Rs128.70.
On Monday, the dollar rose by Rs 6.75 in the interbank market. As the market opened, the rate of dollar soared to a high of Rs126, then went to Rs125.50 before rising once again to Rs127.50 and then further spiking to Rs128.25. In the open market, the US dollar rose by Rs4 taking the rate to Rs128.20 for selling.
