KARACHI: The domestic currency depreciated Friday against the US dollar in open market and sustained its stability in the interbank.
As per the local money market, the US currency gained 10 paisas in open market for buying at 107.70 and for selling at 108, while it remained unchanged in interbank for buying at 105.30 and for selling at 105.50.
On Thursday, the dollar remained flat to close at Rs 105.30 for buying and Rs 105.50 for selling in interbank. The rupee closed higher in the open currency market on dull demand for dollar from private sector buyers in open market. The greenback closed at Rs 107.60 for buying and Rs 107.90 for selling in the open market. It lost 10 paisas against the rupee.
