KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee Thursday closed flat against the US dollar both in open market and interbank.
As per the local money market, the dollar remained unchanged both in open market and interbank for selling at 107.65 and 105.50 respectively.
On Wednesday, the US currency also closed flat in value against the rupee in the interbank market, owing to dull demand from prime importers and oil companies for their payments abroad. In interbank, the dollar closed at Rs 105.30 for buying and Rs 105.50 for selling. The dollar traded lowest at Rs 105.29 at the noon.
The greenback depressed against the domestic currency in the open market, owing to lower demand of dollar from corporate sector, and private buyers. The US dollar closed at Rs 107.35 for buying and Rs 107.65 for selling. It shed 20 paisas in the open market against the rupee.
