NIRC rejects objections against FBR Union’s election

LAHORE: All complaints filed against the Federal Revenue Alliance Employees Union (FRAEU) has been rejected by the National Industrial Relation Commission of Pakistan (NIRC) as the commission has also okayed the Union’s internal election of for next three years, besides favouring amendments in the constitution of the union.

FRAEU Central President Mian Abdul Qayyum has lauded the verdict and greeted the all newly-elected office-bearers and termed this a victory of whole staff of the department. He said that in next three years, the Union’s top priority will be to get approval of Housing Scheme for FBR employees, medical complex and facility of transportation for staff.

Qayyum demanded the chief justice, prime minister, Sindh chief minister and finance minister to get retrieved FBR’s 4,000 acre of land in Hoxbay from the land grabbers and set up FBR Housing Society there. He said this property in Hoxbay was allotted to the then CBR in 1947 but due to carelessness of the authorities the land mafia grabbed the whole area.
