ISLAMABAD: To provide link to Gwadar port with Iranian border National Highway Authority (NHA) will construct a 200 kilomtre Nokundi-Panjgoor Highway.
The project will also provide a link between Ratto Dero-Gawadar Motorway (M-8) and Surab-Hoshab Highway (N-85).Rs 100 million have been allocated in Public Sector Development Programme 2017-18.
The NHA had issued tender for hiring consultancy services for feasibility study and detailed design for construction of Nokundi -Mashkhel -Panjgoor Road in February and now the process of feasibility has begun,he said.
The PC-II for about 90 km section from Mashkhel to Gamilandi on Quetta-Taftan road falling between the proposed alignment had already been done,he said.
The construction of Nokundi-Panjgoor Road will also help enhance commercial and tourist activities in the region and contribute in economic growth through for providing employment opportunities for the local people.
