LANDON: National Crime Agency (NCA) arrests four people who were hijacking the computers, and seven other people were arrested across the Europe.
Police said that hijackers were using designed software which allows the stealing of information.
Software, which gives complete access to a victim’s webcam, is known as “Ratting”. The malicious software used to gain control, Remote Access Trojans (Rats).
Trojans (Rats) users view the people through their own webcams, without their knowledge, is becoming “increasingly common” in UK.
NCA said that they arrested two 33 year old men, and 30 year old woman, in Leeds and twenty year old man arrested in Chatham, Kent. More people were arrested in Estonia, France, Romania, Latvia, Italy, and Norway. They are all accused of knowingly using Rats to spy on multiple targets.
