COLOMBO: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked the Sri Lankan business community to invest in Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif, while addressing the business community and media at breakfast, said that Trade and Commerce Minister Khurram dastgir has a special target of around $1 billion for trade. The PM also urged the Pakistani business community to invest in Sri Lanka and vice versa. He said he was happy to see the signing of different MoUs between businessmen of both countries.
Nawaz hoped that Pakistan will overcome the energy crisis by 2017 as it has potential to generate energy through coal and other sources. He further said that the CPEC will make Pakistan an important strategic player in the region. The PM also mentioned significance of TAPI gas supply.
