OTTAWA: National Bank of Canada (NA.TO) released a profit for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.
The company said its bottom line totaled C$524 million, or C$1.39 per share. This was up from C$486 million, or C$1.33 per share, in last year’s third quarter. Analysts had expected the company to earn C$1.32 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items. The company said revenue for the quarter rose 8.1% to C$1.74 billion. This was up from C$1.61 billion last year.
