LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), along with the other world organisations, is marking the International Anti-Corruption day on Dec 9 to create awareness among people.
The NAB is organising different events to mark the day. Governments, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, the media and citizens around the world are joining forces to fight this crime, under the banner of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The 2015 joint international campaign focuses on how corruption undermines democracy and the rule of law, leads to human rights violations, distorts markets, erodes quality of life and allows organised crime, terrorism and other threats to human security to flourish.
