QUETTA: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan filed a reference in the accountability court against former Managing Director WASA Hamid Latif Rana and seven others for illegally accumulating assets worth Rs 337 million through corruption.
As per initial investigation into the assets case against Mr Hamid, the accused as MD WASA in connivance with his two brothers Amir Rana, Zulqarnain Rana and owner of Hatim Stationers Abdul Hussain made assets worth millions of rupees in various cities, according to a press release issued here on Wednesday.
Having gathered the sufficient proofs, NAB arrested the former DG in August 2017 and later sent him to jail. However, the investigation team is still working on the clue leading to more assets.
