RAWALPINDI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi distributed a sum of Rs.1.2 Million among 12 affectees at a ceremony held here on Wednesday.
Director General Nasir Iqbal handed over cheques to the affectees, said a press release. As per details “AL-RAFIA HOMES”, accused Muhammad Ramzan started a small housing scheme in Mouza Kotha Khurd Rawalpindi in the name of “AL-RAFIA HOMES”.
Under the scheme, they have made bookings for constructing houses of different sizes. In the agreement with complainants, he committed to construct well furnished house for the allottees including all facilities. He promised to construct the house in six months period. After payments from complainants accused disappeared.
After that NAB Rawalpindi arrested Muhammad Ramzan. He accepted his liability of Rs. 1.3 million. NAB recovered the entire amount and distributed among affectees.
Director General NAB Rawalpindi Nasir Iqbal also advised people to be vigilant and check credentials of such investment companies before handing over them their hard earned money.
Director General NAB Rawalpindi Nasir Iqbal reiterated that the NAB will continue to pursue the corrupt elements for cleaning the society from the corrupt elements under the leadership of Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry so that the motherland could achieve the dream of corruption free Pakistan.
NAB strongly believes in Zero Tolerance Policy against corruption. NAB hopes that joint efforts of all stakeholders can collaborate to check corruption and corrupt practices with the help of all stakeholders.
