LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has recommended the interior ministry to place Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL).
After getting approval from NAB Chairman Justice ® Javed Iqbal, the bureau has written a letter to the interior ministry asking it to place Khan’s name on the ECL, local media reported. NAB in its letter told the ministry that Khan is currently being investigated in a case pertaining to assets beyond sources of income.
On February 6, NAB arrested the former Punjab’s Minister for local government and community development in the assets beyond known source of income case. Following his arrest, the PTI leader had resigned from his post as the minister.
The bureau has accused Khan of having offshore companies in the UK and UAE. Currently the PTI leader is in judicial remand which will end on April 30.
