MULTAN: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) has made revenue collection of more than Rs 2 billion in two days (29th and 30th April).
Official sources told Customs Today that the Regional Tax Office has accelerated the revenue collection process on 29th and 30th April 2018-19. Source told that regional tax authorities made huge collection on these two days for accomplishment of their assigned revenue target of April.
The Regional Tax Office made tax collection of almost Rs 1.5 billion from M/s Bank Al-Habib Limited under the head of advance income taxes. RTO collected Rs480 million from Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) in these two days, Rs40 million due taxes from M/s Thal Sugar Mills Limited. M/s Pak Arab Fertilizer Company Limited has deposited tax amount of Rs30 million.
M/s Shamim and Company has also deposited sales tax amount of Rs75 million before the end of April 2018-19. Northern Power Generation has deposited almost Rs.100 million under the head of different taxes. M/s Fatima Sugar Mills and M/s Volka Foods Industry have deposited almost Rs25 million and Rs20 million taxes before the end of April.
The Regional Tax Office expedited its efforts for the tax collection from various corporate companies in the Jurisdiction to meet the set collection task. According to unofficial statistics RTO Multan made collection of almost Rs3.20 billion, Rs2.80 billion and Rs50 million under the head of income tax, sales tax and federal excise duty respectively.
