LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department Multan has issued notices to different government departments for depositing token tax of 400 vehicles amounting to Rs 2.5 million till June.
Talking to media persons, Director Excise Iftikhar Ahmed Bhali said that token tax of 400 vehicles of different departments including police, FBR, health, agriculture, solid waste management and city district government had been pending for the last few years. He said that vehicles of police department were defaulting from the last one year while others were in default from 2004,2006,2007,2008,2009 and 2014, respectively.
Iftikhar Bhali said that the concerned departments have been issued notices to pay pending token tax maximum till June or else action would be taken against them.
