MULTAN, JANUARY 30: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office generated Rs12.73 million from the auction of seized vehicles and miscellaneous goods.
According to details, Customs Intelligence and Investigation has conducted auction of confiscated vehicles and various articles which were seized by Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) of customs staff in their different anti-smuggling activities with in their jurisdiction.
Huge number of public participated in the Customs Intelligence auction after advertisement of presented goods and vehicles.
Customs Intelligence and Investigation offered nine various lots of impounded vehicles in the public sale including two Honda Civic, used Mercedes Benz car, Toyota Raoum ,Toyota Pajero jeep, Suzuki Pick-Up, Toyota Corolla Altas and Toyota Vitz . All offered confiscated vehicles were sold out successfully by Customs Intelligence and Investigation in Rs6.58 million during public sale held in directorate. All sold vehicles were smuggled, non-tampered and non-duty paid.
The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has offered sixteen various lots of High Traffic vehicles (HTV) tyres, welding rods, iron, scrape, and heavy duty generator, Bitumen, furnace oil, Samsung LEDs, silk bed sheets, rims and others.
Almost seven lots of paper plastic scrap, black pepper, mobile oil, rims, heavy duty generator and tyres were sold out successfully in Rs.6.15 million. Remaining lots of goods and articles were not auctioned due to fewer bids offered from bidder than reserved price.
Deputy Director Khial Muhammad Khan supervised the whole process of auction along with Senior Intelligence Inspector Malik Nasir.
