MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate collected revenue of Rs3326.167 million during the month of June 2017-18.
The Customs Collectorate made of collection of customs duty worth Rs 1913.147 against the assigned task of Rs1692.55 million during the month of June in financial year 2017-18. The Collectorate collected customs duty (CD) of Rs1484.691 million during corresponding Fiscal Year 2016-17.
The Customs Collectorate witnessed more than 20% increase in collection of the customs duty (CD) during the current fiscal year as compared to previous fiscal year 2016-17.
The Customs Collectorate collected Rs1380.365 million during the last month of the monetary year 2017-18. It had collected Rs1905.25 million under the head of sales taxes in the matching period of the economic year 2016-17.
Multan Customs collected major portion of sales tax from the import shipments of High Speed Diesel (HSD) products from ex-bonding. It collected Rs15.793 million from under the head of federal excise duty (FED) against allocated task of Rs21.26 million. Multan Customs generated Rs.18.371 million during identical period from the import shipments in the previous fiscal year 2016-17.
The Customs Collectorate composed the collection of Rs16.862 million in wake of withholding tax (WHT) against assigned target of Rs27.96 million for the duration of June 2017-18.
Multan Customs also made collection of Rs35.70 million withholding taxes during the period of July in the corresponding Fiscal Year 2016-17.
