MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs collected Rs3303.622 million during the month of June 2018-19.
According to the details, the Collectorate has made collection of customs duty worth Rs1921.112 million against the assigned task of Rs2355 million during June. The Collectorate accomplished almost 82 percent assigned task of customs duty. The Collectorate has witnessed more than 20 percent increase in collection of the customs duty during the current fiscal year as compared to previous fiscal year 2018-19.
The Collectorate was able to collect Rs1913.147 million against the assigned task of Rs1692.55 million during the month of June in the corresponding financial year 2017-18. While the Collectorate collected customs duty of Rs1484.691 million during corresponding fiscal year 2016-17.
Multan Customs collected Rs1428.669 million under the head of sales tax against task of Rs1569 million throughout last month of the monetary year 2018-19. It had collected Rs1380.365 million under the head of sales tax in the matching period of the economic year 2017-18. Multan Customs collected major portion of sales tax from the import shipments of High Speed Diesel (HSD) products from ex-bonding .
Multan Customs collected Rs12.472 million from the collection of federal excise duty (FED) against allocated task of Rs17 million through June. Customs Multan had generated Rs.15.793 against target of 21.26 million during identical period from the import shipments in the previous fiscal year 2017-18.
The Collectorate has made collection of Rs19.207 under the head of withholding tax (WHT) against set target of Rs19 million in the economic year 2018-19. The Collectorate accomplished almost 101% revenue under withholding taxes during June. On the other hand Multan Customs made collection of Rs16.882 million withholding taxes for the period of June in the corresponding fiscal year 2017-1.
The Collectorate collected Rs.3303.622 million revenue under the head of Customs duty, Sales taxes, Federal Excise duty and Withholding taxes during June and accomplished major collection tasks during June of the fiscal year 2018-19.
