MULTAN: The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has made revenue collection of Rs.3850.403 million throughout the month of December 2016-17.
The Collectorate of the Multan Customs has collected customs duty of Rs.744.616 million by surpassing the assigned revenue target of Rs.635 million in the month of December of fiscal year 2016-17. The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has posted 17% growth in their revenue collection of customs duty and the Multan Customs was able to collect only Rs.587.650 million customs duty during the matching period of the December of previous economic year 2015-16.
The Collectorate of the Multan Customs was assigned the sales tax collection target for the month of December, which was almost Rs.3338 million and the Multan Customs has collected amount of Rs.2042.790 million under the head of sales tax during the month of December. But the MCC Multan has collected sales tax of Rs.2303.298 million throughout the December of the corresponding financial year 2015-16.
The Federal Board of Revenue has assigned the revenue collection target of the federal excise duty of Rs.21 million to the Multan Customs for the month of December and the Multan Customs has set Rs.27.049 million in the December. The Multan Customs has collected 29 % excess revenue collection of the federal excise duty during the December of ongoing fiscal year 2016-17.
The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected income tax of Rs.19.690 million against the assigned collection task of Rs.38 million during December FY 2016-17 and the collection under the head of income tax was Rs.34.193 million during the corresponding period of the fiscal year 2015-16.
Furthermore, the Multan Customs has also collected additional sales tax of Rs.1.207 million and petroleum development levy of Rs.1015.051 million during the month of December.
Meanwhile, the Multan Customs has made collection of Rs.3850.403 million against Rs.4022 million in the duration of December by accomplishing 95% of the monthly set target.
