MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office decided 38 seizure cases worth Rs70.205 million after completion of trial throughout the month of January 2019.
As per details, Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office submitted 110 different seizure cases for trial in January 2019.
Customs Adjudication collector, additional collector and deputy collector conducted trial of different seizure cases as per their rank and amount of duties and taxes involved against seized or confiscated goods.
These seizure cases were detected by Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) and Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) in different actions in the jurisdiction.
Almost 9 seizure cases of Rs6.450 million in the month of January and 19 new seizure cases were added for hearing in the Customs Adjudication in January to deputy collector.
Additional Collector Talib Hussain decided 25 seizure cases which involved revenue of Rs.42.817 million for the period of January. The decided cases by additional collector includes cases of vehicles and other goods. Additional collector decided all seizure cases in favour of customs department after concluding trial. As many as 53 new cases of Rs.94.869 million were submitted to additional collector.
Collector Customs Adjudication Asif Abbas Khan Buzdar also settled four seizure cases worth Rs20.938 million after trial during January 2019. Almost 18 new seizure cases of Rs.192.771 million included in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office for their legal trial for the duration of January 2018-19.
