MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office decided 50 seizure cases of worth Rs75.172 million during the month of December 2018-19.
Sources told Customs Today that Customs Adjudication decided 50 seizure cases formed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Customs Intelligence and Investigation during the above said period. Customs Adjudication has decided more seizure cases during December as compared to corresponding period of Fiscal Year2017-18.
Customs Adjudication settled 13 various seizure cases of deputy collector formed by Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) and Customs Intelligence and Investigation in their various anti-smuggling activities in the jurisdiction. These seizure cases were related to evasion of customs duty to the tune of Rs4.108 million for the duration of December 2018-19. These seizure cases include vehicles, tyres, auto parts and miscellaneous goods. Almost 17 new seizure cases of worth Rs10.295 million has been added in the court of Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication for proceedings for the duration of December 2018-19.
Additional Collector Talib Hussain has decided 35 seizure cases of smuggled vehicles and goods of worth Rs60.400 million during said period. As many as 70 fresh seizure cases of vehicles and miscellaneous goods of Rs123.851 million have been added in the Customs Adjudication for trial.
Collector Customs Adjudication Asif Buzdar has decided two seizure cases of worth Rs10.664 million after trial in Customs Adjudication and there are 14 important seizure cases are still under adjudication of Worth Rs.192.771 million. Collector Customs Adjudication has decided one seizure in favour of tax payer after completion of trial.
Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has settled all seizure cases in legal time frame on the direction Federal Board of Revenue.
