MULTAN: The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 39 various seizure cases involving Rs33.899million during October.
Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Saima Ayyaz has decided about 27 seizure cases instituted by the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Customs Intelligence and Investigation.
These seizure cases were related to evasion of customs duty to the tune of Rs10.946million for the duration of October. These seizure cases include smuggling of vehicles, tyres, auto-parts and miscellaneous goods. Almost 40 new seizure cases worth Rs20.745million have been added in the court of Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication for proceedings.
Deputy Collector Saima Ayyaz has settled 26 different seizure cases in favor of Tax Department and issued Order–In–Originals (ONO) in favor of taxpayers after adjudication process.
Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 10 seizure cases of smuggled vehicles and goods worth Rs12.950million during the month of October.
Additional Collector Talib Hussain has also settled one seizure case in favor of taxpayer and remaining seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs Adjudication after trial. As many as 31 fresh seizure cases of vehicles and miscellaneous items of Rs50.997million have been added in the Customs Adjudication for trial.
The Collector Customs Adjudication has also resolved two seizure cases worth Rs10.003million in the month of October after trial. Almost three new seizure cases, involving Rs42.060million, were included for hearing before the Customs Adjudication Multan for proceedings in the month of October.
Moreover, about 63 various seizure cases worth Rs175.114million are available for hearing in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.
