MULTAN: Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office adjourned hearing of the case filed against M/s Digicom Trading Company Limited QMobile and others up to 24th April.
According to details, Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization received credible information from their source that huge quantity of non-customs paid QMobile and other was warehoused in a residential area of Cantonment Board Multan Cantonment. Customs anti-smuggling squad recovered huge quantity of non-customs paid QMobile and others of worth million during their crackdown.
Anti-Smuggling Organization team recovered 9700 QMobile during their raid from the house. These recovered cell phones were non-customs paid and brought into the country through import mis-declaration by importer M/s Digicom Trading Company Limited.
During the hearing of M/s Digicom Trading Company Limited defense counsel argued Collector Customs Adjudication Asif Buzdar that verification of seized cell phones are under way and Multan Customs will forward their reconciliation report after verification and company have already submitted their import GDs in the Customs House and providing necessary documents to teams in verification process .M/s Digicom Trading company representative is facilitating Multan Customs during verification process of their import cell phones .
It is also important to mention that Multan Customs has also lodged First Information Report (FIR) against the culprit Muhammad Naveed in this regard in charge of smuggling foreign origin cell phones. Collector Customs Adjudication Asif Abbas Khan Buzdar adjourned M/s Digicom Trading Company Limited seizure case for further hearing till 24th April.
