NEW DELHI: Meizu has introduced its latest smartphone the MX5 at an event in Beijing today. The MX5 will be the new flagship for the company and sports a metal build with plastic strips running around the rear side. The Meizu MX5 will come in three colours such as deep grey, sliver and champagne gold and there will be three variants of the phone based on the capacity. The basic 16GB variant will cost CNY 1,800 (approx Rs 18,500), 32GB will be priced at CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 20,600) and finally the high end 64GB variant will set you back by CNY 2,399 (approx Rs 24,700).

Metallic body covers the phone except for the plastic design elements on the rear side to ensure no radio disturbances. It measures just 7.9mm thick and weighs only 149 grams. It comes with Android 5.0 along with Meizu’s Flyme OS 4.5.
There is a 20.7MP camera on the rear side with dual LED flash unit. The camera unit has an f/2.2 aperture and laser aided focus mode. On the front you have a 5MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
It is powered by a 3,150mAh battery. Apart from this the MX5 also features a fingerprint sensor. On the connectivity front you get a dual-SIM configuration with LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1.
