MCC Quetta goes profitable with Rs511m of all taxes during 15 days

QUETTA: The Model Customs Collectorate Quetta earned surplus revenue of Rs511million of all taxes during 15 days of November Financial Year 2017-18 against the revenue collection of the same period of corresponding Financial Year 2016-17 of the same heads.

The Quetta Collectorate received Rs1127million under all the heads during 15 days of November FY17-18 while it did Rs616million under all the heads during 15 days of November FY16-17.
According to details explained by Collector Ashraf Ali of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Quetta that, during first 15 days of November FY17-18, the collectorate showed outstanding performance against the same period of corresponding financial years.

The Quetta Collectorate generated Rs449million of Customs Duty (CD) during first 15 days of November FY17-18 whereas it did Rs210million as CD during the same period of previous FY16-17. The collectorate earned extra revenue of Rs239million as CD during 15 days of November FY17-18 against the same period of corresponding FY16-17.
The Collector MCC Quetta told CT that the collectorate got Rs464million of Sales Tax (ST) during 15 days of November FY17-18 whereas it did Rs309million under the same head during first 15 days of November FY16-17. The collectorate earned Rs155million extra revenue against the previous FY16-17.
During said period of November 2017-18, the Quetta Collectorate received Rs8.00million of Federal Excise Duty (WHT) while it did Rs8.00million during the same period of corresponding period FY16-17.
Collector Ashraf Ali told CT that, during 1st to 15th of November FY17-18, the collectorate collected Rs208million as With Holding Tax (WHT) whereas it did Rs89.00million under the same head during November FY16-17. The collectorate generated Rs119million extra revenue during first 15 days of November FY17-18 against the collection of 15 days of November FY16-17.
