ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad generated Rs110.21million extra revenue under the head of all duties and taxes from 1st to 10th of November of Financial Year 2017-18 against the assigned proportional revenue target. The Customs Collectorate of Islamabad was earmarked a proportional revenue target of Rs373.86million while it earned Rs483.67million under the head of all taxes.
According to details given by Acting Deputy Collector Tahir Khattak that, during the first 10 days of November 2017-18, the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad received Rs120.92million of Customs Duty (CD) while it was assigned a proportional revenue collection target of Rs148.08 million as CD.
The deputy collector told CT that, during initial 10 days of November FY17-18, the collectorate collected Rs248.31million of Sales Tax whereas it was allocated revenue collection target of Rs126.54million as ST.
During above said period, the MCC Islamabad generated Rs106.44million as Income Tax (IT) while it was earmarked revenue collection target of Rs70.06million of IT.
Tahir Khattak further told CT that collectorate of Islamabad earned Rs9.01million under the head of Federal Excise Duty (FED) during initial 10 days of November FY17-18. The collectorate achieved an average of 38.81% during 10 days of November against the allocated monthly revenue collection target of Rs1246.21million under all the heads. He said that the Customs Collectorate Islamabad collected Rs404.48million under all the heads during initial 10 days of corresponding November FY16-17.
