GILGIT-BALTISTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate of Gilgit-Baltistan showed an increase in the growth of revenue with the percentage of 70.80% under the head of all duties and taxes against an assigned proportional revenue target for the first 15 days of October Financial Year 2017-18.
The Collectorate Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) earned Rs196.15million of all taxes during above said period against an allocated proportional revenue target of Rs195.49million.
This was said by sources of GB while talking to Customs Today.
The GB has been earmarked a revenue collection target under all the heads for the whole month amounting to Rs378.76million, which shall be achieved, sources said.
During the initial 15 days of October, the GB showed 0.34% increase under all the heads against the same period of corresponding Financial Year 2016-17. During the initial 15 days of previous FY16-17, the GB collected Rs114.84million under all the heads.
During the 1st of July to 15th of October FY17-18, the GB received Rs82.73million of Customs Duty (CD) against an assigned proportional revenue collection target of Rs94.70million while it did Rs52.18million under the same head during the same period of FY16-17.
The GB generated Rs81.77million as Sales Tax (ST) whereas it was allocated a proportional target of Rs69.95million under the same head for initial 15 days of October. During same period of FY16-17, the GB got Rs44.04million of ST.
The GB earned Rs31.66million as Withholding Tax (WHT) against an allocated proportional target of Rs30.84million while it did Rs18.62million under the same head during 15 days of last FY16-17.
