KARACHI: The Special Recovery Cell (SRC) of the Model Customs Collectorate-MCC Exports has issued yet another bank account attachment notice against Muhammad Sharifuddin in its alleged involvement in non-payment of government dues amounting to Rs 1 million.
Assistant Collector of Customs-SRC (Exports) with the consent of Collector-MCC Exports Manzoor Memon has issued bank account attachment notice under Section 48(I) (CA) of the Sales Tax, 1990 against M/s Muhammad Sharifuddin in connection with the non-payment of government dues.
In the notice, it is stated that it has been confirmed vide the letter sent by Manager Faysal Bank Limited, Cloth Market Branch that Rs 849 and Rs 645,676 are lying in account No: 1342003767006 and 134-2007843-006 respectively, relating to the above named defaulter and the said amount has already been attached by the authorities concerned of the Exports Collectorate.
Therefore, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 48(I) (f) of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the authorities concerned of the Collectorate has served this notice for transferring of the aforesaid amounts to the Collector, MCC-Exports, Custom House in shape of Pay Orders (POs) forthwith so that the same may be deposited in government treasury. The sources confirmed Customs Today that the FBR authorities concerned have given free hand to the Collector of MCC-Exports Manzoor Memon to take best possible steps in order to recover the outstanding dues against the importers cum exports.
