MCC Export decides to settle down all pending rebate claims

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Exports has decided to settle down all pending rebate claims within stipulated time frame and to rationalise the Statutory Regulatory Order (SRO).

A senior official in MCC Export on condition of anonymity told Customs Today that Member Customs Nisar Muhammad Khan during his current visit to Customs House, Karachi had directed the officials concerned in MCC Export to clear the pending rebate claims of the exporters and clients as soon as possible.

He further informed that the Member Customs also emphasised upon rationalisation of SRO to provide more facilities to the exporters in order to expand their businesses.

“Following the directives of Member Customs, the MCC Exports has expedited the process of clearing all previous rebate claims to facilitate the exporters”, he added.

To a query, he further said that all pending rebate claims of the fiscal year 2012-13 would be settled down in a month.
