TOKYO: Mazda LM55 Vision Gran Turismo, the super flat race car concept is collaboration between Mazda and the game’s developer, Polyphony Digital.
Designed to blend agility and elegance with power and grace, the LM55 has clear styling links to Mazda’s hallmark Kodo design language seen in models such as the Mazda 2, 3, 6 and CX-5 particularly at the front end. The Japanese manufacturer also claims influence from its famed rotary-powered 787B racer that took overall victory at the 1991 Le Mans 24 Hours.
Though no specific details have been announced, the LM55 is said to feature a carbon fibre monocoque chassis and “advanced drive train technology that offers the epitome of power, efficiency and durability”.
The virtual concept is available for download now via a free Holiday Season update.
