KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian state-owned oil company Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) said it has agreed to supply up to six cargoes of liquefied natural gas a year to Japan’s Hokuriku Electric Power Co for 10 years.
The agreement, signed through Petronas’ subsidiary Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd, will begin in March 2018, Petronas said in a statement on Wednesday.
Malaysia LNG operates Petronas’ Bintulu LNG complex in the East Malaysian state of Sarawak.
