PETALING JAYA: The Customs Department has set up a help desk hotline for the public to clear any remaining doubts about the GST.
A book on Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), a Taxpayer Access Point (TAP) handbook and a multimedia video were also launched yesterday.
“We gathered the most common questions asked by the public, especially by businesses, and we have compiled them in this FAQ book,” Customs director-general Datuk Seri Khazali Ahmad told a press conference yesterday.
He said the multimedia video and the TAP handbook could be used as a guide for businesses on how to submit their tax returns.
All the information can be found at www.gst.customs.gov.my.
Khazali said the new help desk hotline, which would operate alongside the 1-300-888500 hotline, would be manned between 8.30am and 10pm every day.
