KARACHI: A major reshuffle is likely in the Pakistan Customs Services (PCS) in coming days, it is learnt.
Sources informed Customs Today that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to make transfers and postings at the top level, including the officers from Grade BS-19 to Grade BS-21.
The sources further revealed that the FBR had finalized a list of the Customs officers who would be transferred and posted in the coming days.
The sources disclosed the names of the officers who might be transferred and would be given new responsibilities. The officers, include Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda, Wajid Ali, Dr Saifuddin Junejo, Dr Owais Agha Jawwad, Shahnaz Maqbool, Mukarram Jah Ansari and others.
The sources further said that the FBR authorities have also decided to reshuffle the officers of Islamabad and Lahore and also transfer some of them to Karachi, Custom House.
Responding to a query, the sources further said that the FBR authorities are also taken the notice of the officers who are currently working with an additional charge in the Pakistan Customs Services (PCS).
Replying to a query, the sources could not rule out the transfers and postings in the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation-FBR Regional Office Karachi.
The sources said that the FBR may also reshuffle the deputy directors and assistant directors from the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation-FBR to the other Customs Services.
