ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has converted major penalty of ‘removal from service’ of three Customs officers into compulsory retirement.
According to three notifications, the FBR chairman has issued order to convert the major penalty of removal from service to compulsory retirement. The order was issued on departmental appeals filed by Customs officers, including Waqar Ahmed Cheema, ex-superintended, Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation, Lahore; Muhammad Javed, ex-Inspector, Model Customs Collectorate, Sialkot; and Aziz-ur-Rehman, ex-Inspector, Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar.
In another case, the FBR chairman ordered to convert the major penalty of compulsory retirement upon Fazal-e-Subhan, ex-superintended, Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar, into reduction to lower post as deputy superintended.
