LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday as it shed 39.08 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4670.57 and closed at 4631.49 points.
The market’s overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 6.037 million shares to close against previous turnover of 4.540 million shares, showing an upward move of 1.497 million shares. While, out of the total 92 active scrips 16 moved up, 47 remained equal with 29 shed values.
United Bank Limited, Netsol Technologies Limited and Kohat Cement Company Limited were major gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs2.60, Rs1.60 and Rs1.54, respectively.
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Mari Petroleum Company and Pakistan Petroleum Limited lost their per share value by Rs4.50, Rs4.18 and Rs3.53, respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 2.851 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 645,500 shares and Fauji Cement Company Limited with 586,500 shares.
