LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) remanded back the case of tax returns of four cricketers to Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue with order to pass fresh speaking order after giving opportunities to the appellant.
Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court (LHC) heard the appeal filed by four cricketers Muhammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Azhar Ali and Misbah ul Haq.
The appeal was filed by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on the grounds that four national cricketers submitted their tax returns manually instead of online while FBR is giving opportunities for online submission of income tax returns.
After hearing arguments Lahore High Court (LHC) has remanded back the appeal to Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue with orders to hear the parties again and pass fresh speaking order.
It is necessary to mention here that two players are currently playing Pakistan’s one-day cricket series against New Zealand.
