PESHAWAR: A meeting was held between a delegation of the Korean Importers Association, headed by its Director Herbert Lee, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment & Trade (KPBOIT) Vice-Chairman Faisal Saleem Rahman to reduce the Import Duty on the latest tools and equipments.
Both parties discussed the matters of mutual interest including investment in hydropower generation and other investment opportunities in KP which have been badly affected due to energy crisis and poor law and order during the last seven years.
The meeting was also attended by Director Power and Energy (KPBOIT) Dr Asif Qayyum Qureshi and KP BOIT Energy Sector Chairman Zeeshan Khanzada.
Herbert Lee took keen interest in the agenda of the meeting and vowed to work together with the KPBOIT and honorary Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Peshawar to bring investment to the province and further strengthen cordial relations between the two countries.
Vice-Chairman Faisal Saleem said the office and staff of the KPBOIT would be available to the investors for hassle-free and fast track facilitation. We have the motto to serve investors to the best of our ability, knowledge and experience. The primary goal of the provincial government is to promote a progressive and corruption-free environment for the investors.
