KOHAT: The Customs State Ware House (SWH) Kohat earned Rs13.46million of All Duties and Taxes during the 1st to 15th of August Financial Year 2017-18 by holding auctions of confiscated goods and impounded (NDP) vehicles.
According to details given by newly transferred Deputy Collector Fazli Shakoor while talking with Customs Today that performance of the SWH Kohat has been satisfactory during the initial 15 days of August FY2017-18. During above said period, the SWH Kohat received Rs1.81million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas it did Rs0.35million of Redemption Duty (RD) on Imports.
He told CT that, during said period, the Kohat SWH generated Rs1.92million as Sales Tax (ST) while it did Rs0.13million of ST on Imports. He added that the SWH got Rs1.32million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) and the said customs station earned Rs7.90million as AIT imposed on Exports. Regarding the previous month of July FY17-18, Deputy Collector told CT that the SWH Kohat received Rs19.42million of All Duties and Taxes while it did Rs3.15million as CD and earned Rs0.45million of miscellaneous surcharges. It generated Rs0.27million of RD whereas it collected Rs0.28million of Extra Duty Surcharge (EDS).
He further said that, during July FY17-18, the SWH got Rs2.83million of ST while it did Rs0.23million as ST on Palm oil and the SWH earned Rs2.93million as AIT.
