ASTANA: Inflation rate hit 0.7 percent in November, Kazakh Statistics Committee under the Ministry of National Economy reported. Food price rose by 0.7 percent, non-food items and paid services by 0.5 percent in Nov. Year-on-year inflation in November 2014 as compared to Nov. 2013 hit 7.6 percent.
In Nov, among the food goods, average prices for paprika increased by 20.6 percent, tomatoes, buckwheat – by 19.6 percent, cucumbers – by 11.1 percent, cabbage – by 8.6 percent, potatoes – 8.2 percent, beet – by 3.2 percent, curds- by 1.4 percent, wheat flour of the first grade, pork – 1 percent, milk, sour cream, frozen fish – by 0.7 percent, yogurt – 0.6 percent, rennet cheese – by 0.5 percent, bread, black tea – 0.4 percent.
Inflation since the beginning of the year (November 2014 compared to December 2013) hit 6.9 percent. Also in this period food prices increased by 6.9 percent, non-food items prices – by 7.8 percent, prices for services – by 6.1 percent. Meanwhile lemons reduced in price by 4.3 percent, bananas – by 2.3 percent, chicken legs – by 2.2 percent, carrots – by 1.1 percent. Services of rail passenger transport covering long distances decreased by 1.6 percent in Nov. Payments for hairdressing and personal care services increased by 1 percent. Restaurants and hotels increased prices for their services by 0.9 percent, early childhood education centers – 0.8 percent, recreation, entertainment and culture institution and health clinics- by 0.4 percent. In the sphere of housing and communal services, tariffs for central heating increased 1.9 percent, hot water – by 1.7 percent, houses maintenance – by 0.6 percent.
