ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) has released 231,100 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 172,800 cusecs. According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1536.22 feet, which was 156.22 feet higher than its dead level 1380 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 100,800 cusecs while outflow 135,000 cusecs.
The water level in Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1227.15 feet, which was 177.15 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 15,900 cusecs and 40,000 cusecs respectively. The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 140,500, 134,600 and 43,800 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 18,500 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 6,000 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
